The formed "wet briquettes" are conveyed by a belt conveyor to the top of the furnace, where a distributor evenly spreads them across the entire cross-section of the furnace top. The briquettes slowly descend along their track by gravity while undergoing heat exchange with a strong airflow. Moisture evaporated from the briquettes is carried away randomly by the strong airflow. After about two hours of evaporation, the briquettes reach a fully dried state.
